History

Terry McInturff has been building and servicing guitars since 1977. His experiences as a recording and performing musician as well as a recording engineer has given him the ability to look at guitar design from these two view points, while decades of pro guitar repair work has given him extensive up front and personal experience with the strengths and weaknesses of virtually every guitar that matters. The guitars that he builds today are the result of all of these experiences in the guitarist's world. The McInturff guitar is designed to first and foremost survive the toughest tour in the music business. The tremendous amount of handwork that goes into each of his instruments, helps to give every one of his guitars a unique personality.

Producing fantastic sounds and being beautiful are obviously important, but to Terry, the most important thing is that his guitars are great tools that stay in tune and do not require anything outside of routine maintenance. From his "entry level" Polaris right through to the astonishing Taurus Custom, it is the TCM Guitars' team of luthiers' mission that every guitar made is the most reliable, best sounding, best playing guitar that you've ever owned, on stage and in the studio.
